2026 Series

Three Junior Open`s to report on today:-

Firstly, the Gorleston Junior Open which was played on the 4th August. Henry Ridgeon (Stowmarket) took the points with a superb gross 71, closely ahead of Luca Devine-Rushbrooke (Gorleston) with a 73. In the net competition, local lad Harry Page (Gorleston) shot a fine net 67 to take the top points. Sadly, no Suffolk Girls competed.

Next on to Rookery Park and Jacob Severn (Bury St Edmunds) won with a gross 75 taking the top points with Oliver Hart (Rookery Park) winning with an excellent net 71 to take the points in the Net Series. Chloe Wignall (Felixstowe Ferry) was the only Girl to compete and took both the gross and net honours.

Finally on to Felixstowe Ferry and it was a great day for the Cobbald brothers (Bury St Edmunds)- William won with a superb gross 71 taking the points and his younger brother Edward winning the Boys net with a 68. For the Girls, Abigail Hope (Bungay & Waveney Valley) had a fine 81 to take the points and local player, Chloe Wignall (Felixstowe Ferry) had a brilliant net 64 to take this one and points.

So, after a hectic week, Johnathan Points (Bury St Edmunds) is still out in front with 39 points and Jack Johnson (Bramford Golf Centre) just maintains his first position at the top in the net competition.

In the Girls`, no change - Imogen Potter (Diss) is still at the top with 27 points in the gross tournament, but Chloe Wignall is now leads Imogen in the net competition.
